CLOSE TO DISRUPTION ACT.1     (2025) MECHANISMS OF NATURAL PROTECTION

Stainless Steel, Horns

“A time of emotional upheaval, where I felt closer than ever to the complete unraveling of my world.”
Inspired by the form and function of a tweezer, the piece is constructed so that its two frontal parts are only loosely held together by screws. If these are opened, the structure literally falls apart. The fragility of the connections, never perfectly fixed, mirrors the instability I experienced. It serves as a metaphor for how life can collapse without clear warning, how something seemingly secure can suddenly become unrecognizable.
Close to Disruption embodies the precarious balance between structure and chaos, control and collapse. It invites the viewer to confront the uncomfortable truth that disruption often comes silently, without a clear signal, until it’s already happening.

A THREAT TO YOU, IS A THREAT TO ME AND TO ALL OF US.     (2024)

Sculptural - Sound and Video - Installation

Stainless Steel, Human Hair, PVC, Plaster, Cotton, Latex, Aluminium.
Variable Dimensions.

In this Installation, through a short film, I reveal an introspective journey of how I felt after a severe homophobic attack. Simultaneously, an audio recording of the attack - which occurred in June 2023 at the train station in Pavia, Italy, and deeply shocked the Italian LGBTQ+ community - plays through the speakers. This aims to allow visitors to share in the pain and impact of every assault on our community. When even one person in our community is attacked, we should all feel targeted - because we are. One day, a trans person is harassed on the street; the next, a queer person is assaulted for simply existing. These acts are not isolated. They are interconnected - part of the same systemic violence against our identities. A threat to you, is a threat to me, and to all of us.
